I started painting
when I was five years old and have not stopped since. My paintings
are colorful, delicate and eclectic renderings of subjects that
have significant personal meaning. I currently paint in oils,
but have also worked extensively in watercolor, pastel, charcoal
and colored pencil.
Each painting takes me on an unpredictable and inspiring journey that yields unexpected results. Thus, I try to remain open to new possibilities as my paintings develop. The viewer experiences only the finished work, but the real joy for me is the creation.
I studied fine arts in several Northwest universities, and I continue to learn from videos, workshops, mentoring and reading. I live in scenic Kalama, Washington, with my husband and two cats. My family supports my artistic passion and they are the inspiration for many of my paintings.
