Peggy was born and raised in central MN. Graduated from U of M with B. S. in elementary education.

“That same year, our first child was born and I started a 31 yr. career of teaching and having 2 more children. I am now retired (or tired?. We've lived in several states where my husband was tranferred to work in fisheries.

I have always been interested in art---took as many courses in college as I could fit in my schedule. Took classes for teacher in-service training in several mediums with a few quarters of calligraphy and tole painting (adult ed.). I learned to sew as a young child, also knitting and crocheting. Sewing was a god-send to a student and a young mother.

I also came to have a great love for sewing and making things for my family and our home. Quilting came natural with all those pieces of fabric. Wall hangings and quilts became my way of "painting pictures" with fabric and thread as my art medium.”
