Birthday Parties
Call to arrange a perfect birthday party for your budding artist. Our teachers can provide painting, crafts, beading and many other fun projects for groups up to 10. We provide the place, all the materials for the projects and you bring the cake and friends. Call us today!

Children's Classes

Art's Cool: Go Green!
Dates: August 2 - 6
Time: 10 am to 12:30 pm
Teachers: Vicki Brigden, Jane Gerdon, Susy Halverson, & Scott McRae
Fee: $18 per day or $85 full week
Family Plan (2 or more in family): $80 full week
Ages: 6 years old and up
Please wear play clothes that can get messy. Go green this summer at art camp! Make cool stuff from recycled household products. We'll make decorated T-shirts, travel games, picture frames, trivets, duct tape wallets, journals, and much, much more. A snack will be included. Save the planet! Have Fun!

Susy Halverson: Experimenting with Watercolors
Dates: Wednesdays, June 23 - July 28
Time: 3:45 pm - 5:45 pm
Fee: $18, includes supplies each day
Ages: 8 and up
This class will experiment with professional watercolors, papers and brushes. Techniques will be taught to help get the most out of a beautiful medium. We will learn which paints go together as well as how to use the equipment to keep it from taking over and just running all over the place.

Susy Halverson: Oil Painting for Fun
Dates: Wednesdays, June 23 - July 28
Time: 10 am - 3:30 pm
Fee: $12 a class if student has own paint & brushes
$15 a class if student uses Susy's supplies
Ages: 9 and up or by approval of teacher
Painting For Fun experience needed for this class or approval by the teacher.
This is an open workshop where students may pick the 2-hour time period that fits their schedule.Students work on challenging paintings they choose with Susy's guidance. Each student works on their own painting with Susy moving around the room giving suggestions to each student as they need help. Problems are solved with Susy asking the student how they would approach the problem and she makes suggestions and gives ideas and praise as is appropriate.Susy's goal is to have independent thinkers so each person can paint on their own and keep growing as an artist.This is best worked on in the summer in a relaxed atmosphere.

Susy Halverson: Beginning Painting for Fun
Dates: Wednesdays, June 23 - July 28
Time: 10 am - 11:30 am
Fee: $60, includes everything for the beginning painter
Ages: 9 and up
Paint the beginner painting along with Susy, which will include a beautiful spring sky, trees, a lake with a reflection and flowers.

Susy Halverson: Jewelry Design for Young People
Dates: 6/24 10:30 am - Noon, 7/2 2 pm - 3:30 pm, 7/15 10:30 am - Noon
7/22 10:30 am - Noon, 7/30 2 pm - 3:30 pm
Fee: $12 per class, plus materials
Ages: 8 and up
Susy will teach how to design necklaces, bracelets, and earrings like the pros and finish them beautifully. She has found some great deals on terrific beads so her students can sparkle for a very reasonable price.

Adult Classes

Mike Swift: Drawing
Dates: Mondays, June through August
Time: 10 am to 12 pm or 1 pm to 3 pm
Fee: $25 per 2-hour class
Class Size: 2 - 12
Materials: List provided at sign-up.
All ages and experience accepted. Instruction and demostration of drawing technique will be presented in 2-hour sessions. The class will draw (and sketch) with an eye to making presentable and finished drawings.

Susy Halverson: Jewelry Design for Adults
Dates: 6/24 12:30 pm - 2:30 pm, 7/1 2 pm - 4 pm, 7/15 12:30 pm - 2:30 pm, 7/22 12:30 pm - 2:30 pm, 7/29 2 pm - 4 pm
Fees: $15 per class, plus materials
Susy will teach jewelry design from the basics to basic wrapping and bead wrapping. If you have beads of your own you want to use, feel free to bring them. Susy will have a supply of beads from natural gemstone to Swarovski Crystal that may be purchased and used. She will also have findings to use.
