Call to arrange a perfect birthday party for your budding artist. Our teachers can provide painting, crafts, beading and many other fun projects for groups up to 10. We provide the place, all the materials for the projects and you bring the cake and friends. Call us today!

Children's Classes

Art'S Cool ~ Jane Gerdon
Dates: Thursdays **No Art’s Cool Classes on the first Thursday of the month**
Time: 3:45 – 5:15 pm
Fee: $15 (includes all supplies and a light snack)
Class size: 1-12 Ages: 6 & up

Beginning Oil Painting for Fun ~ Susy Halverson
Dates: January 22, 29, February 5, 12, 19, 26
Time: 3:45-5:15 pm
Fee: $60.00 including up to 6 lessons and all of the materials required to finish the painting.
Ages: 9 & up Class size: 1-8
Paint along with Susy the beginning painting which includes a spring or fall sky, trees, a lake with a reflection and grasses and flowers. This painting teaches basic techniques which Susy demonstrates with students painting as they progress through the painting. The oil paint
used is nontoxic and soap and water clean up making it safe and user friendly.

Painting for Fun ~ Susy Halverson
Dates: Wednesdays beginning January 6, Thursdays beginning January 7
Time: 3:45-5:15 pm
Beginning Painting for Fun and an approved set of paint brushes are required
Fee: $15.00 per day or $12.00 per day if the student has paint and brushes.
Ages: 9 & up
Class size: 1-10
Come have fun with water clean up oil paints. Susy challenges her students to grow while allowing them choices in subjects. It’s always an adventure to paint with Susy.

Drawing with Scott ~ Scott McRae
Dates: January 11, 18, 25, February 1, 8, 15, 22, March 1, 8, 15, 22, 29
Time: Mondays 4-5:30
Fee: $60.00 for 4 lessons plus a $5.00 per 4 week session supply fee.
Students will learn basic drawing skills including work with form, shading, texture, and abstract while also learning basics in watercolor painting.

Drawing Beginning to Advanced for Adults & Children ~ Lorena Birk
Dates: Class by appointment. Please call to schedule.
Ages: 8-100 (Yes! Adults are Welcome)
Fee: $15.00 per session
Come learn the foundation of art: drawing. Learn to put your ideas into minute sketches or draft a detailed masterpiece. This class will explore composition and help draw out your
ideas and inspirations. We will use pencils, pens, charcoal and some colored pencil work. Come and find out that the pencil is mightier than the sword.

Adult Classes

Stone Sculpture Workshop by sculptor DJ Garrity

Friday March 26, 5:30 - 9:30 pm
Saturday/Sunday March 27-28, 9:00 am - 4:30 pm
Fee: $235 (includes materials and use of tools). Art students and educators will receive 15% off.
DJ Garrity served three tours of duty as Sculptor-In-Residence of Mount Rushmore National Memorial has established an international reputation with his innovative programs. The workshop is accredited by Augustana College for professional development, graduate or undergraduate credits.

Painting for Fun ~ Susy Halverson
Dates: Wednesdays beginning January 6
Time: 10:30 am to 12:30 pm
Fee: $14.00 per day or $17.00 if Susy supplies paint (canvases included)
Class size: 1-10 Ages: High School through 102
Fun is the order of the day but Susy will take you in the irection you want to go artistically. Susy specializes in painting the landscapes of the northwest but can problem solve and color match most subjects. Everyone paints the subjects they choose (with guidance) and Susy helps achieve great results. Bring the idea that has been in your mind and enjoy
the good company and help.

Beginners are welcome and can begin the Beginning Painting at any time. Susy will paint one on one with you her basic beginner painting so you can learn helpful techniques. After
the Beginner Painting the choice of subjects is the student’s with guidance.

Drawing and Watercolor ~ Scott McRae
Dates: January 11, 18, 25, & February 1, 8, 15, 22, & March 1, 8, 15, 22, 29
Time: Mondays 10:00 am – 12 noon
Fee: $60 for 4 lessons plus $5.00 per 4 week session supply fee

Pine Needle Basketry ~ Pamela Blanton

Fee: $35.00 per class plus supplies. Supplies are available from Pamela
Class size: 1-10
Pamela will teach a variety of pine needle basketry projects, increasing the level of difficulty throughout the sessions. Students may choose to come weekly or as often as they choose and choose the projects that interest them. Pamela can meet the needs of students of all levels so if you have already learned a little basketry but want to learn more she
will teach what you need.

Twined Reed Basketry ~ Pamela Blanton

Fee: $35.00 per class plus supplies. Supplies are available from Pamela
Class size: 1-10
Students will learn the art of twined reed basketry through a variety of beginning to more advanced projects. They will begin by making a simple trivet and then learn to twine a
more intricate bread basket and double walled basket.

Painting for Fun ~ Susy Halverson
Saturday Workshops
Dates: January 16, 23, February 13, 20 March 13, 20
Time: 1:30 pm - 4:40 pm Class size: 1-10
Fee: $30.00 per class if student has their own supplies, $40.00 per class if Susy provides supplies
Susy will demonstrate new techniques each week emphasizing the main elements of a landscape painting. Students will work on similar paintings or bring a photo of a favorite place
to paint. Students will also take their paintings home to continue their painting at home with suggestions from Susy. All levels of artistic skills are welcome!
